Neil Bamford
Neil Bamford has been a name featured in UK trance culture for a decade. Having been involved with some of the most recognisable UK brands and with his productions supported by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas and the other artists that make up the senior fraternity of trance. After a few years hiatus from producing, Neil returns in fine fashion with his third solo effort due for release this summer (18’)…
Neil’s love for music has been ever present since before his age met double digits, and turned his attention to trance music around the age of 16. Although he tries to champion artists starting out on their journey, he has studied the genre’s history and believes it’s in a much better place now then it ever has been. His first initial releases were together with Med (Chris Medlock) on labels such as Abora (‘One’), Infrasonic (‘Stolen’ and ‘Last Stand’) and Perceptive (‘Light Up’) of which were supported on ASOT several times. With this success in their productions, Neil and Med went on to be heavily involved in UK super brand Digital Society landing them a residency with the brand.
After a few years of gigging up and down the country, Neil and Med went their separate ways with Neil’s hunger still burning bright.
Whilst keeping his ear low to the ground, Neil locked himself away and learnt his trade with the sole purpose of a return to the trance scene. Now is his time. With the confidence boost he needed signing debut releases on ‘Sub:Mission’ and ‘Estrella Recordings’, Neil landed his third release ‘They Are There’ which has been included on the long awaiting In Search of Sunrise 14.
His return to the main stage has been supported by Neil’s residency and co-promotion for the most talked about up and coming trance night in the UK, Equinox.
Being able to play any time of the night, dance floor knowledge and creativity will never be a problem for Neil who has emersed himself in music culture from such a young age. Having being absolved in trance and having worked hard to find his feet through his own efforts, Neil is ready to take his place alongside his heroes and create his own legacy.
